Minor girl abducted, allegedly gang-raped in Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit

A minor girl from Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit district was abducted and allegedly gang-raped. The police managed to trace the victim and have registered a case in the matter.

Pilibhit (Uttar Pradesh): In yet another incident of crime against women, a minor girl from Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit district was abducted before allegedly being gang-raped.

According to reports, the minor girl, a resident of Bisalpur police station limits, was abducted and allegedly gang-raped.

Police said a case has been registered in the matter

The police then launched a search for the girl, who was eventually found and returned home to her parents.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case into the matter and have initiated an investigation.

"Based on the victim's statement, a case has been registered. We will soon establish the facts and will take strict action based on all the evidence available," Superintendent of Police Jai Prakash Yadav said.

The SP said that the victim's medical examination will also be conducted soon.

"Nobody will be spared. Strict action will be taken in cases of crimes against women," the SP said.

The incident comes on the heels of reports of several heinous crimes against women in Uttar Pradesh over the past few days.

There has been nationwide outrage and demands for justice for a 19-year-old Dalit woman from Hathras, who died earlier this week, a fortnight after she was allegedly raped.

Another 22-year-old woman from Balrampur had died after she was allegedly raped by two men.
