Migrant worker breaks down while talking to family member on phone

A migrant worker decided to walk back home after learning that his eight-month-old son has died in his village in Bihar. However, he was stopped by the police on the Delhi-UP border. Left with no other option, the worker broke down while talking to his family member on the phone.

It seems like there is no end to their pain and suffering. Another heart-wrenching story of Ram Pukaar, a labourer in Delhi's Nawada has unfolded.

Ram Pukaar, a resident of Bihar's Begusarai decided to take a long walk back home after his family members informed him about the death of his eight-month-old son.

However, while he was on his arduous journey he was stopped by the police near Delhi-UP border. He sat under the Ghazipur flyover for three days without proper food as the police did not let him go further.

He felt helpless and broke down while talking to his family member on his phone. Seeing him crying on the roadside, a Delhi police constable came to his rescue.

The police constable narrated his ordeal to the District Magistrate of East Delhi. Moved by his story, he then decided to extend a helping hand and booked a ticket for Ram Pukaar for his village in Begusarai.
