Siliguri: The MAYFAIR Hotels & Resorts is set to open the first tea boutique resort of the country in West Bengal's Siliguri.
As per reports around Rs 200 cr has been an investment for the resort.
The resort is expected to have various entertainment arrangements for tourists.
According to investors, the idea came to their minds only after the state government encouraged tourism.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Amit Adhikari, Frontline manager, said that the resort will have all the infrastructure of a sophisticated and luxurious resort.
"The luxury resort was built by removing about 5,000 plants from the tea garden. The interior of the resort is decorated with various rare antiques. From the bedroom to the balcony or dining room or the ballroom, or restaurant wherever you go, you can find the touch the essence of tea plants," he said.
"Tea plants of the resort are regularly being treated every morning. In fact, the tourists who come here can get to know all the methods of making tea to them. Alongside, various tea-related items have been arranged in this resort," He said.
Situated amidst thousands of acres of aromatic tea gardens, the property has been exquisitely designed and developed to take tea tourism to new heights, Adhikari added.
