Mainpuri: Police in Uttar Pradesh have registered a murder case after a man axed his cousin brother over a water dispute and fled the village along with his mother and sister.
A case has been registered against Rahul Yadav and two others on the complaint of the victim's family. Four police teams have launched a search operation, police said on Saturday.
Police reached the scene of attack in Mainpuri and rushed the victim Robin Yadav to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The incident took place in Konar village under Dannahar police station limits.

According to locals, there was a water dispute among them as they were sharing a water pump to irrigate their fields after their fathers died and they divided properties mutually.
"Earlier, Rahul, who is also an alcoholic, brutally thrashed Robin over water issue following which he moved to our house for a few days." said Munendra, a relative the victim.
On returning to his village, he went to his agricultural field to collect grass along with his mother and sister and was he was attacked by Rahul after a heated argument, he said.
