Main accused in journalist Ratan Singh murder case held

With the arrest of two more people, a total eight people have been held till date in the murder case of journalist Ratan Singh, who worked with a local TV channel and was shot dead in Phephana of Balliya earlier this week.

Balliya: Police on Friday arrested two more accused in the murder case of TV journalist Ratan Singh, who was shot dead in the district on Monday night.

One of the arrested, identified as Hira Singh, is the main accused in the killing. With these two arrests, a total of eight people have been arrested in the case so far, police said.

Four different police teams are looking for the criminals involved in the killing and raids are being conducted in several parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in this connection, they said.

Ratan Singh, 45 was working with a regional Hindi TV channel and was shot dead in Phephana.
