Jaunpur: A family here that has served the nation by getting its men inducted into the Indian Army for several generations is a bit unsatisfied with the members, alleging that due recognition of their sacrifice was missing, and the authorities concerned must pay attention to the issue.
As the nation gets ready to celebrate 20th anniversary of Kargil war, the family of Jainulabadin and Yahiya Khan, the two participated in the Indo-Pakistan wars of 1965 and 1971, Ashfaq Khan, another man from the same family who fought Kargil war of 1999, is of the view that one of its members - Javed Khan who lost his life in 2004 while fighting terrorists in Kashmir did not get his due respect.
"There could have been a school, road or a memorial in his name but nothing of the sort was done by the government," the family members told ETV Bharat here.
They said by doing so his name could have earned due respect for all in the family.
The ETV Bharat correspondent who visited Khan's grave informed that it required immediate repair.
