Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh): Former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh's ashes were immersed in the Ganges at Narora Ghat in Bulandshahr on Friday. During the ritual, the son of late Kalyan Singh and Etah MP Rajveer Singh, along with his sons, Sandeep Singh and Saurabh were present.
A team of priests chanted mantras while the family participated in the puja. After performing the rituals on the banks of the holy river, the veteran BJP leader's family took a boat to the middle of the river where his ashes were immersed.
Earlier, on Monday the mortal remains of former Chief Minister late Kalyan Singh were consigned to flames at Narora Ghat on the banks of the Ganga River, with full state honors.
The ashes of the former Chief Minister have been collected by the relatives of the former Chief Minister in five urns. The ashes present in one urn have been immersed today.

The ashes of the other urns will be immersed in the Saryu River in Kashi and Ayodhya.
Kalyan Singh's son Rajveer Singh has posted a message on his Facebook page to visit the Kalash. In the message, Rajveer Singh wrote "The Ashti Kalash Yatra will start from Basi Ghat of Narora in the afternoon and will end at Mandauli Bagh via Narora Atomic Center Gate, Ramghat Tiraha, Jarganwa, Jiroli Dhumsingh, Bhojpur, Kakethal, Pilukhni, and Atrauli."
Kalyan Singh died at the age of 89 following a prolonged illness on August 21 in Lucknow. His cremation was performed in Bulandshahr on August 23.
