Junior engineer commits suicide by hanging self

A junior engineer working in the electricity department at Etawah in Uttar Pradesh allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence.

Etawah (UP): A junior engineer working in the electricity department here has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence, police said on Wednesday.

"JE Jai Singh Kushwaha (27), working at the feeder located in Rainagar, hanged himself using a bedsheet at his residence on Tuesday. We swung into action after his colleagues informed us about the incident, " Circle Officer Chandrapal Singh said.

"The body was found hanging in the bathroom," he said.

The officer said the body was sent for post-mortem.
