Lucknow: An alleged illegal arms manufacturing factory was busted in Etah district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday and one person was arrested with many weapons, including two pistols and country-made revolvers.
Police said that many raw materials and various cartridges were seized along with machinery used in manufacturing firearms. "One of the culprits has been absconding and our investigation is underway to find him at the earliest. For the upcoming panchayat election these miscreants were planning something, a detailed interrogation of which is being done by police. These perpetrators will be put behind bars sooner," Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Sunil Kumar Singh said.

Reportedly, the accused has been booked under 307 IPC and sections 3/5/25 of the Arms Act. Further, police are on a lookout for the absconding men in order to get to the supply chain.
