Kanpur: IIT Kanpur marks a new chapter with the export of oxygen concentrators designed at the institute to the United States.
The institute's Indima Fiber and E-Spin Nanotech have designed and build oxygen concentrators that cost around Rs 85,000. Two US-based companies have placed orders for the devices to be manufactured in Pune.
These oxygen concentrators are special because the technology used is by far the best and most advanced. They can also run continuously for 15 minutes and can be used again after a break of 15 minutes. This is the unique selling proposition of these oxygen concentrators. The manufacturers have received orders from several Indian states and companies as well.
