Lucknow: The process of applying for the Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission to the top management institutes of the country is underway. Meanwhile, IIM Lucknow has released its new admission policy. Many changes have been made in the Admission Policy 2022-24. Last time the written ability test (WAT) was removed due to corona infection. This time this test of 10 marks has been implemented again.
There are about 450 to 500 seats in IIM Lucknow. Surya Pratap Singh, Director of Fundamakers, says that admission in any IIMs of the country including IIM Lucknow is not possible based on CAT score alone. With a good CAT score, you may get a call from IIMs, but you have to go through many more selection criteria for the final selection.

Fundamakers' Director Surya Pratap Singh said that IIM Lucknow has given 60% weightage to CAT score. In the criteria adopted while inviting the students for the selection process, 60% weightage is of CAT score. 10 per cent weightage is given to the 12th marks. Similarly, the weightage of 10 per cent is for the marks of graduation. Work experience carries 10 per cent weightage and diversity factor carries 5 per cent weightage. The weightage of 5 per cent is also of gender diversity.
Expert Surya Pratap Singh explained that on the basis of this a call is sent to the candidate to join the admission process in IIM Lucknow. There are different criteria for final selection.

Surya Pratap Singh said that in view of the corona infection, IIM Lucknow had removed the written ability test from the process last year. Then the candidates were evaluated by 90 marks. It has been included again in the new admission policy. Therefore, this time the final score of the candidates will be evaluated on the basis of 100. Surya Pratap Singh said that the CAT score is important. It will also not be wrong to say that the final selection depends on your performance in the personal interview along with your CAT score.
