Kannauj (UP): As many as four persons were critically injured in a clash that erupted between two families over a land dispute at Bhabalpur under Sourikh police limits in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj on Wednesday.
According to reports, the families of Puselal Kori and Suresh Divakar of Ghadhia Pah locality used to quarrel over some property dispute.
Earlier, the land dispute case was taken to the village head and he took the favour of Puselal Kori.
Following this, a verbal altercation ensued between two groups. The situation took an ugly turn after they started attacking each other, leaving four of them critically injured.
On intimation, police reached the spot and detained two persons for interrogation. A case has been registered and further probe into the matter is underway.
The police have deployed two platoons of forces in the village to maintain law and order situation following the incident, reports said.
