Lucknow: Severe widespread water-logging triggered by incessant rains has thrown normal life out of gear in Uttar Pradesh as more than 94 people have been killed in the last four days.
The Ganga is flowing above the danger mark at 294.450 metres in Haridwar, Vikrant Saini, sub-divisional Officer of the irrigation department, Uttar Pradesh said while addressing a press conference.
Life has been disrupted due to rain in and around Kanpur and Bundelkhand, while continuous torrential rains have disrupted life in Bundelkhand, Fatehpur, Kanpur, Kanpur Dehat, Etawah, and Auraiya.
Moreover, the heavy rains in Fatehpur and Hamirpur have made the roads overflowing and the houses have been flooded.
The meteorological department said heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places over eastern UP on Tuesday as well.
