Bodies found in Ganga River in Chandauli

Once again dead bodies were seen floating in the River Ganga amid the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. After dead bodies were seen floating on the river in Ghazipur and Balia, Chandauli also reports similar sightings. On Thursday afternoon, the locals saw half a dozen dead bodies lying in the Ganges near Barora village.

Chandauli: Once again dead bodies were seen floating in the River Ganga amid the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. After dead bodies were seen floating on the river in Ghazipur and Balia, Chandauli also reports similar sightings. On Thursday afternoon, the locals saw half a dozen dead bodies lying in the Ganges near Barora village. All the bodies were in a mutilated state with a foul odour.

After the information, a crowd gathered on the spot and people informed the police about it. The police apprised the administrative officials about the case.

Joint Magistrate Prem Prakash Meena said the information has been received. Police have been deployed on the spot, senior officers are also reaching the spot. He has also appealed to the villagers to inform the police in case of any more dead body seen floating in the river.
