FIR registered against fake personal assistant of UP Basic Education Minister

A case was filed against a man by Public Relations Officer Devendra Kumar and Basic Education Minister Satish Chandra for allegedly impersonating the latter's personal secretary and making a phone call to Siddarth Nagar District Magistrate in Uttar Pradesh.

Lucknow: Police on Friday filed an FIR against a man for allegedly impersonating as the personal secretary of Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Basic Education Dr Satish Chandra Dwivedi.

The case was registered against him by Public Relations Officer Devendra Kumar and Basic Education Minister Satish Chandra for allegedly making a phone call to Siddarth Nagar District Magistrate.

Devendra Kumar claimed that the person directed the DM on the phone to urge people to download Arogya Setu App.

After knowing about the incident Devendra wrote a letter Satish Dwivedi to register an FIR against the accused.

The FIR has been lodged in Hazratganj police station.

In the letter, it was stated that on 27 March around 11:05 pm in the night Siddarth Nagar DM received a call from Mukul Dwivedi, who represented himself as PA of Basic Education Minister.

The call has been tapped and was made available to Hazratganj police station.

Hazratganj SHO Santosh Kumar said: "A case has been registered against an unidentified person for impersonating himself as PA of Basic Education Minister. Further action is being taken."
