Father, son shot dead after heated argument in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur

A father and son were shot dead by an advocate hailing from the same village in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur on Sunday. The incident took place after a heated argument broke out between them over a minor accident.

Shahjahanpur (Uttar Pradesh): A father and son were shot dead after a heated argument broke out over a minor accident in Chinnor village here under Sadar Bazar jurisdiction on Sunday.

As per reports, Akash (18) was driving a motorcycle near his village on Sunday. A car which was coming in the opposite direction, bumped into his motorcycle and a heated argument broke out between the car's driver and Akash which led to the death of the 18-year-old.

When Akash's father Kailash Verma (40) reached the spot, he was also shot down by the car driver.

The duo was taken to the hospital nearby but died while undergoing treatment.

Talking to ETV Bharat, Emergency Medical Officer Dr Anurag said, "Bullets were recovered from the stomachs of the deceased. When they reached the hospital, they were alive but died during treatment."

Shahjahanpur SP Dinesh Tripathi said that the man who fired at them, an advocate from the same village, has been arrested. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
