Despite the weekend lockdown devotees worshipped at the gate of Dudheshwarnath Temple

In view of the increasing number of COVID19 cases, the weekend curfew was announced in Delhi, under which the ancient Doodeshwar Nath temple was also closed. Despite that devotees have been arriving at the temple since Sunday morning.

Ghaziabad: In view of the increasing number of COVID19 cases, the weekend curfew was announced in Delhi, under which the ancient Doodeshwar Nath temple was also closed.

But the devotees have been arriving at the temple since Sunday morning. Due to the closing of the doors of the temple, devotees are offering prayers at the temple gate itself.

According to the Mahant of the temple, Shri Narayan Giri, he had announced the closure of the temple on the weekend curfew, but the devotees who arrived to visit the temple were not informed about the closure of the temple.

Various other temples like the Dudheshwarnath temple are also closed. Closure notice has also been pasted outside the temple.

Furthermore, a total of 9,952 people recovered from the virus in the said period, taking the total number of recoveries to 7,05,162. The COVID-19 positivity rate of Delhi also jumped to 15.92 per cent on Wednesday.
