Ayodhya (UP): With the commencement of the Bhoomi Pujan of the Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh, the Hindu devotees of Lord Ram have been contributing in some or other way.
Adding to the list of contributions, a special bell from Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu was presented to the Ramjanmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya.
Rajalakshmi Mandha, General Secretary of Chennai based Legal Rights Group, donated the 613-kilogram heavy bronze bell, along with the idols of Lord Ram, Sita, Hanuman and Lakshman.
The bell is made of copper is 3.9 feet wide and 4 feet tall, Mandha told ETV Bharat.
According to sources, Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust has received donations worth Rs 100 crore so far.
The construction of the grand temple is set to start from October 17, the first day of Navratri, with the laying of the foundation pillars of the temple.
