Gonda (Uttar Pradesh): A group of people who casually chew pan and spit in the hospital premises were provided with Certificate of Shame along with a fine after strict cleanliness measures were implemented in Gonda's District Women Hospital. The initiative was taken up by Chief Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr A.P. Mishra to keep the hospital clean.
The employees and people present in the hospital were first administered the oath of cleanliness in the Hospital.
Even after taking an oath of cleanliness, around 10 people were caught by the CMS who eat pan-masala and spit in the hospital premises and they were given a certificate of shame in front of the people and also fined around Two Hundred Rupees.
The initiative started by the CMS has made it clear that whoever dirties the hospital premises will not only be fined but will also be given a certificate of shame so that people will realize their mistake.
While talking to Media CMS Dr A P Mishra said that they also caught a driver of the 102 Ambulance who was spitting in the hospital and he was fined Two Hundred Rupees.
Out of 10 people who were caught spreading dirt in the hospital only 8 were able to give the fine of Two hundred and others were out of money, he said.
They also forgive 2 people only in one condition that from next time they will not dirty the hospital, he said.
Mishra has appealed that the hospital belongs to all and they should help the hospital administration in keeping it clean.
