Kanpur: Two miscreants on Tuesday brutally murdered Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Assistant Sub Inspector Ramvir Singh on the Panki-Mirzapur road near Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, police said.
The accused have thrown the deceased's body into the canal and later escaped in his car.
A woman watching the whole scene informed the police about the incident.
Police took out the information about the car which is about 30 km from the city and captured the miscreants along with the car.
The cause of the murder is yet to be known. The ASI was originally from Mainpuri.
Currently, the accused have been taken to the police custody and further investigation into the matter is on.
