Boy kills self while shooting Tik-Tok video

An 18-year-old boy in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly district accidentally shot himself and died while shooting a Tik-Tok video. The boy was trying to pose like a soldier with a gun on his shoulder when the pistol went off and the bullet hit him on the right side.

Bareilly (UP): In a bizarre incident, a boy here accidentally shot himself and died while shooting a Tik-Tok video.

The 18-year-old boy, son of an army man, accidentally shot himself in Mudia Bhikampur village of Hafizganj.

The incident took place on Monday evening when the boy, Keshav Kumar, a student of class 12, returned from school and asked his mother to give him her licensed pistol.

The boy was trying to pose like a soldier with a gun on his shoulder when the pistol went off and the bullet hit him on the right side.

The boy was rushed to a hospital in Bareilly where the doctors declared him brought dead.

The boy's mother said that she was unaware that the pistol was loaded.

She said that she had refused to give the firearm to her son but when he insisted, she relented and gave him the gun.

Soon after, the woman heard the gunshot and saw her son lying on the floor in a pool of blood.

According to his mother, Kumar used to change his profile pictures constantly and shot Tik-Tok videos following which he posted them on his Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Kumar's father Virendra Kumar is posted in Roorkee. The boy's family has refused a post-mortem. The investigation into the matter is currently underway and an FIR would be lodged soon.

         Lucknow, Jan 14 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Tuesday made Ajay Devgn-starrer "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior" tax free in the state.

         Based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, the military leader of Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's army, the film is being exempted from SGST, government spokesperson said.

         The film is about the bravery and dedication of the Maratha warrior and it is being made tax free so that more and more people could take inspiration from his life, the spokesperson said.

         Devgn had talked to the chief minister on Sunday and made a requestin this regard, the spokesman pointed out. 

         If a movie is declared tax-free it means the state has waived the entertainment levy imposed on it, thereby bring down the ticket rates and encouraging more people to watch it.
