Lucknow (UP): Aradhana Misra, Congress MLA from Uttar Pradesh's Rampur constituency, has slammed the Adityanath-led BJP government saying that its cheap politics over the migrants' bus row has been exposed.
In a joint meeting with state's vice president Virender Chowdhury and Chairman of Minority Department Shahnawaz Alam, Misra said, "The documents of all the 1032 buses were complete. Congress party is ready to say this on every platform. If needed, we will also prove it. The BJP has spread false propaganda over the issue."
She further alleged that due to the politics of the BJP government over the issue, thousands of migrants had to suffer.
On Friday, the Uttar Pradesh government accused the Congress and its government in Rajasthan of double standards, saying the latter had sent repeated reminders to clear a bill worth Rs 36 lakh for ferrying students stranded in the education hub of Kota, which was paid off Thursday.
However, Rajasthan Transport Minister said that the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation had asked for the bill, and the BJP government was now politicising the issue.
It is to be noted that earlier this week, the Congress had offered to send 1,000 buses from Rajasthan to Uttar Pradesh to help ferry migrants, but the Uttar Pradesh government had rejected the offer, saying that the buses lacked proper documents and that many vehicle registration numbers in the list were not of buses but vehicles like autorickshaws and trucks.
