Bihar based property dealer shot in Uttar Pradesh during booze party

Rakesh Singh, 40, hailing from Bihar was injured after he was shot in Uttar Pradesh by his friend at a liquor party on Sunday. The man was shifted to a hospital in Lucknow and his condition is said to be stable.

Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh): A Bihar based property dealer was shot at Shahpur area near here after a heated argument broke out between him and his friends during a house party on Sunday night.

Rakesh Singh, 40, hailing from Bihar had come to Gorakhpur to visit an ailing relative who was admitted to a hospital here.

The 40-year-old man decided to stay at his friend Raj Singh's house and later a booze party was planned.

According to the reports, the property dealer was shot after a heated argument broke out between the friends.

On hearing the gunshot, one of Raj Singh's neighbour informed the local police station and subsequently, police reached the spot.

Police rushed the injured property dealer to a local hospital. Later, he was shifted to a hospital in Lucknow and his condition is said to be stable.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against four persons present at the party and investigation is on to ascertain the exact reason behind the incident.
