Varanasi: UP Pollution Control Board has imposed fine of rupees 50 thousand on Banaras Hindu University for causing pollution, sources said.
In a notice to the university, the statutory body directed it to immediately submit the fine.
The roads and the by lanes of the university are being repaired without any due importance to the anti-pollution norms and it has resulted in a lots of pollution in the area.
Noticing it, the UP Pollution Control Board fined the university.
