Better to elect Amitabh Bachchan as PM than Modi: Priyanka

Addressing a poll rally in UP's Mirzapur, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took a dig at PM Modi, saying that people could have rather elected Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan as their Prime Minister.

Mirzapur: As campaigning for the Lok Sabha polls reached its last day, Congress General Secretary for UP East Priyanka Gandhi took a rather unusual dig at Narendra Modi, as she said people could have elected seasoned Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan as their Prime Minister instead of him.

Addressing a rally in Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur, she Priyanka said, "You have elected the world's greatest actor as your PM. It would have been better if you would elect Amitabh Bachchan."

Interestingly, the Bollywood superstar was known to be one of the closest friends of former Prime Minister and Priyanka's father, Rajiv Gandhi.

Mirzapur is scheduled to go to polls in the final phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha polls on May 19.
