Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Mahendra Nath Pandey on Saturday said that the party is banking on its success at the Centre and UP to do well in the impending Lok Sabha polls.
In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, Pandey said, "BJP is banking on two very strong tools for the Lok Sabha polls - First is the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre. Second is the successful two years of the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh."
Claiming that the BJP had delivered as many as 520 of the 539 promises it made before the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Pandey said that the party had provided a 'clean and transparent' government at the Centre.
"In the five years at the Centre, the Narendra Modi government has successfully delivered many schemes for the welfare of the poor. People have seen clean governance, a corruption-free India, strong internal security, and a strong check on Naxalism," he said.
Pandey added that the country has been established as a strong nation by the BJP.

He also said that the BJP was going into the polls with strong poll management - right from the booth level to the top brass.
Hitting out at the Opposition, he said, "On one hand we have a strong personality like Narendra Modi, and against him is the Opposition which is failing at its attempts to forge a proper alliance."
Pandey further added that the people of India want a strong government, and only the BJP can provide that.
