Lucknow: With Uttar Pradesh (UP) government gearing up for the foundation laying of the Ram temple on August 5, preparations are in full swing for the construction of a mosque in Dhannipur village in Ayodhya district.
The state's Sunni Central Waqf Board has also formed a trust for the same called the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation.
Sunni Central Waqf Board will be the trustee of the foundation while Chairman Zafar Farooqi will be the chief trustee and Athar Hussain has been appointed as the secretary and spokesperson of the trust.

The chairman Zafar Ahmad Farooqi has not yet announced all the 15 names - the maximum number of trusts allowed - of the trusts and so far only 9 names have been announced.
It is likely that this trust will mostly include the names of people who were trying to get land in another place in exchange for the controversial Babri Masjid.
A statement issued by the board said that as per the order of the Supreme Court, in the Babri Masjid case, the UP government had given five acres of land to the Sunni Central Waqf Board. Apart from the mosque, a building will be constructed on the land for public interest under the trust.
The construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya will start from August 5 for which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stones.
Some political parties and leaders have, however, questioned the move calling it inappropriate in the wake of the Coronavirus epidemic.
