Ayodhya: In a major development, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra trust has launched its official website to provide detail and development related to the construction of the temple on Wednesday.
The official website 'srjbtkshettra.org' was launched on June 17 by the state Tourism Minister Neelkanth Tiwari, who also met general secretary of the temple, Champat Rai to know about the preparations put in place to complete the construction.
This was the first time the minister visited Ayodhya after Ram Lalla idol was shifted to a temporary new location. He also attended an evening aarti.
The trust has started operating the website from the day of its launch. In the website, the complete details of the progress, right from the formation of the trust to the construction of Ram Temple has been uploaded.
Anil Mishra, a member of the temple trust said, "Through this website, devotees can donate online, as the trust's account is linked to it. A proper map is also available on the website which provides information on how to reach the temple by various means."
"In addition to this, information related to nearby hotels and other religious places in Ayodhya is also available on the website," he said.
Mishra further said that the media section is also present on the website, which provides daily updates on the construction of the temple. Moreover, information related to festivals, aarti and major events will also be posted on the website.
Earlier, the trust had announced that the devotees will now be able to witness all the five daily 'aarti' at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple on the social media.
Earlier on March 25, the Ram Lalla idol here was shifted to a temporary new location in the presence of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, clearing the site to allow construction of a Ram temple.
On May 11, earth-moving machinery was deployed for levelling the site.
The 16th-century Babri mosque that stood on the disputed site in Ayodhya was demolished in 1992 by kar sevaks claiming that originally there was a Ram temple at the same spot.
In its verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute, the Supreme Court had ruled in favour of the construction of a temple at the site.
It also ordered that an alternative five-acre plot must be found within Ayodhya for the mosque.
A separate trial in the Babri mosque demolition case is continuing in a special court in Lucknow.
