Noida: A 9 ft bronze statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee made by the famous sculptor Ram Sutar will be installed in Shimla by October.
Talking to ETV Bharat Anil Ram Sutar, son of Ram Sutar, said that the statue will be completed by next month and handed over to the Himachal government.
Elaborating on the statute, Anil said that the statue will be installed in a Mall in Shimla and the reason why its made of bronze is that it does not rust for thousands of years.
Anil also said that the statue is being made keeping in mind the clothes, gestures while greeting, the position of the hand while talking, the style of wearing the dhoti, the style of the kurta, the silhouette in the Khadi jacket of the late prime minister.

Reminiscing the moment Anil and his father spent with Vajpayee, he said that the former PM loved his father Ram Sutar very much and used to be very happy before his penchant for work.
Talking about one such event, Anil said, during the inauguration of Shaheed Park in Delhi, even though the statues installed in the park were made by Ram Sutar, he wasn't allowed since he did not have an invitation card.
But when the then Prime Minister reached the stage he called Ram Sutar's name and then the security personnel took him to the stage where he was honoured by him with a shawl.
