Balrampur: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi lashed out at the BJP led central and state governments over the Lakhimpur Kheri violence asking why PM Modi is not removing his minister Ajay Mishra whose son has been accused in the case. Owaisi made the statement while participating in the "Shoshit Vanchit Samaj Sammelan" organized in UP's Balrampur district on Sunday.
Taking a jibe at the UP government over the Lakhimpur clash, Owaisi said that there seems to be special law under Yogi government for the son of Union Minister of State for Home, and different laws for others.
Attacking the SP and BSP supremo, Owaisi said that they consider Muslims as their fiefdoms, but they don't do any good work. He also termed the Congress as a leaderless party.
Speaking on the Lakhimpur incident, Owaisi said, "on the instructions of the Supreme Court, the police call Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni, to the police station and serve him snacks for 10 hours. It seems that Babua (Ashish Mishra) had gone to his in-laws' house and not to a police station. Even after that why the Modi government has not removed Ajay Mishra from his cabinet."
Elaborating further he added, "Modi is not removing Ajay Mishra from his cabinet because he belongs to the upper caste, elections are approaching and they won't get the votes of the upper caste. Had his name been Atiq instead of Ashish, wouldn't they have run a bulldozer over his house?
