Gorakhpur: Bhojpuri cinema's superstar and Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan has said that nation's largest film city will be constructed in the area of 1,000 acres in Gautam Buddha Nagar's Jewar.
Addressing media in Gorakhpur, he said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has escalated the whole process to complete this project at the earliest.
The BJP MP also said that he has spoken to UP CM many times about gifting Bhojpuri Film City to Purvanchal and he is trying hard to make Gorakhpur a big centre for shooting Bollywood films.
Ravi Kishan said that the coronavirus pandemic has caused a job crisis across the world and under such circumstances, he is convincing filmmakers to shoot their films here to generate employment for the artists of Gorakhpur.

So far, around five Bhojpuri films and web series have also been shot in Gorakhpur where over 60 episodes of a 500 episode of web series are shot in Gorakhpur.
He said that the producers and directors from Mumbai are excited to work in Gorakhpur and he is working on to make Gorakhpur a major centre for the shooting of other films as well.
"Gorakhpur has a proper means of transportation and over 12 hundred good artists are present here who are skilled professionals and are ready to work in low budget. I am trying my best to get many Ravi Kishan ready from this belt," he added.
"One does not have to go to Mumbai to be pushed and humiliated. Because to make a place in Mumbai, many kinds of insults have to be endured. People even have to work under frustration," Kishan said.
Addressing the presser, he informed that to get work in the film industry he had to remove his surname Shukla from his name.
"The new film city will benefit the artists of this region more. People will have the opportunity to move forward with full respect while staying connected with their family. I am playing the role of an artist along with being an MP for better development of Purvanchal," he said.
