Railway announcements to be made in regional languages at Varanasi Jn

Apart from Hindi and English, announcements in regional languages will also be made at Varanasi railway station as pilgrims from every part of the country come to Kashi.

Varanasi: "Your attention please..." Every passenger must be familiar with this announcement at every railway station while travelling by train. This announcement is mostly in Hindi or English. For this reason, those who understand only their regional language find it difficult to follow the announcements.

This becomes all the more important in the case of Kashi, the city of religion and spirituality. Given that foreign tourists also come to Kashi, but the number of tourists from South India is quite sizeable. Keeping this in mind, there will also be an announcement at the Varanasi Cantt railway station in regional languages. The Railways has already started preparations for this.

In fact, most people come from different parts of South India to Varanasi. A large number of tourists from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and many other parts come here. Apart from this, a large number of tourists from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Orissa also come here. There are many people among them who understand only their regional language. Because of this, they have to face a lot of trouble regarding the movement of trains at the Cantt railway station.

Keeping these problems in mind, Railways is going to start announcements in Telugu in addition to Hindi and English. After this, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, languages will also be introduced.
