Lucknow: The All India Shia Personal Law Board, representing the Shia community, openly opposed Waseem Rizvi in its meeting on Monday and passed a resolution to boycott Rizvi in the society. On Monday, during an important meeting of the All India Shia Personal Law Board, held at the Sultanul Madrasa in the capital Lucknow. In this meeting, ulemas and officials of the Shia community gathered from all over the country and discussed the issues related to their community. During this, all members mobilised and opposed Waseem Rizvi, the former Chairman of the Shia Waqf Board.

Maulana Yasoob Abbas, Secretary, All India Shia Personal Law Board said that this meeting of the Board's Executive Committee condemns the blasphemy of the Quran issued by Waseem Rizvi in the strictest language. The insult of the Quran is the insult of Islam. One who insults the Quran and Islam gets rejected from Islam. Maulana Yasoob Abbas said that in this regard, the All India Shia Personal Law Board requests the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister to ban such statements.

Maulana Yasoob Abbas said that the Quran is being insulted through Waseem Rizvi which is wrong. The board strongly condemns it and boycotts Wasim Rizvi. Maulana said that the words said by the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in Islam or the number of verses and surahs in the Quran can't be changed till doom. Nor can they be decreased or increased because Islam is a perfect religion. Maulana Yasoob Abbas said that Allah is the protector of the Quran.
