Noida: A nine-year-old girl has tested positive for Coronavirus at Achhar village in Uttar Pradesh's Noida on Monday. The district's tally has reached 129.
According to sources, the child who tested positive was secondary contacts of those who had tested positive earlier.
Earlier, the girl was in the quarantine centre in Galgotia Hostel. After being found positive, she has been sent to Sharda Hospital.
The girl's uncle and aunt are also corona infected. They are already undergoing treatment at Sharda Hospital. They are said to have been infected by contact with the Jamaaties. Girl's parents are also quarantined at Galgotia hostel, sources said.
Over 60 people were sent to the quarantine centre in Aichar village in Noida after receiving information about their contact with Corona-infected people, sources added.
The Gautam Buddh Nagar district, which includes Noida, Greater Noida and a few areas carved out of Ghaziabad and Bulandshahar, has been a major hotspot of the virus outbreak. However, the region has been able to bring the pandemic under control.
