9 killed, 15 injured in Hapur road accident

At least 9 people were killed and 15 were injured after their pickup vehicle collided with a tanker near Sadikpur in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur district. The victims were returning back to their village after attending a wedding ceremony when the incident took place.

Hapur (Uttar Pradesh): As many as nine people were killed and 15 were injured after their pickup vehicle collided with another vehicle on Sunday night, while they were on their way to Salepur Kotla village in Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh.

More than 25 people were travelling in Mahindra pickup vehicle at the time of the incident. They all were returning back after attending a wedding ceremony when the accident took place.

According to police the pickup vehicle collided with a tanker near Sadikpur while it was trying to overtake from a wrong side.

After which the highway was blocked resulting in a heavy traffic jam.

Locals informed the police and rushed the injured to a hospital with the help of private vehicles. Severely injured people were referred to Meerut for treatment.

At least nine people were declared brought dead including women and children.

The bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem and a case has been registered.

An investigation is underway to search the vehicle and the driver.

एंकर - शादी की खुशी का महौल मातम में बदला जिले में हुए भीषण सड़क हादसे में नौ लोगों की मौत हो गई। जबकि एक दर्जन से अधिक लोग घायल हो गए। सूचना पर पहुंची पुलिस एवं स्थानीय लोगों ने निजी वाहनों से घायलों को अस्पताल पहुंचाया जहां डाक्टरों ने गम्भीर रुप से घायलों मेरठ के लिए रफर कर दिया वही अन्य घायलों का उपचार जारी है और मृतकों को पुलिस पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया मृतक एवं घायलों घर व परिवार में कोहराम मचा हुआ है

Body:वीओ -आपको बता दे धौलाना थाना क्षेत्र के गांव सालेपुर कोटला निवासी मेहरबान की पुत्री गुलिफसा का निकाह था। रविवार शाम बारात मेरठ जेई नगला से हापुड़ शहर के एक मैरिज होम में आई थी। निकाह में शरीक होकर गांव के लोग महिंद्रा पिकअप गाड़ी में सवार होकर गांव सालेपुर कोटला लौट रहे थे। जिनमें महिलाएं और बच्चे भी शामिल थे। गाड़ी में 20 से 25 लोग सवार थे। जैसे ही उनकी गाड़ी गांव सादिकपुर के निकट पहुंची तो सामने से तेज रफ्तार से आ रहे अज्ञात वाहन ने आेवरटेक करने के चक्कर में साइड पर टक्कर मार दी। जिससे महिंद्रा पिकअप की एक तरफ की बॉडी के परखच्चे उड़ गए। महिंद्रा पिकअप में सवार महिला, पुरुष और बच्चे सड़क पर बिखर गए और उनके अंग-भंग हो गए। चारों तरफ खून और घायल बिखरे पड़े थे। घायलों में चीख-पुकार मची हुई थी। सड़क पर लाश और घायलों के खून देखकर लोगों में आक्रोष फैल गया। स्थानीय लोगों ने किसी तरह वाहनों को रुकवाकर घायलों को विभिन्न अस्पतालों में भिजवाया। जहां नौ लोगों को मृत घोषित कर दिया। जिनमें महिला, पुरुष और बच्चे शामिल हैं। हादसे के बाद मौके पर जाम लग गया। जिसे पुलिस ने कडी मशक्कत के बाद खुलवाया।वहीं अधिकारी हादसा कैसे हुआ, इसकी जांच करने में जुटे हुए है।
