Pilibhit: In a harrowing incident, the body of a seven-year-old boy with his throat slit was found in a sugarcane field in Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit.
Mintu Lal who used to stay with his mother and three sisters had gone to play after returning from school. When he did not come back for a long time, his family started searching for him.
It is then, his body was found in a sugarcane field near his home.

After the people came to know about the incident, the police were called to the scene.
Superintendent of Police Jayaprakash Yadav who surveyed the area also assured of proper investigation and strict action against the killers.
The body has been sent for post mortem and an investigation has been launched.
