Suryapet: Eight workers were hospitalised after they drank poisonous water in Telangana's Suryapet district on Thursday.

The workers were employed at a cotton field, who started throwing up immediately after they drank the water after lunch.

Villagers reached the spot as soon as the incident occurred.

( ) గతం లో పురుగుమందు కలిపి మూలపడిన మట్టికుండ లో తెచ్చిన నీళ్లు... కూలీలు ప్రాణాల మీదకు తెచ్చింది. ఇందులో నీళ్లు సేవించిన 8 మంది పత్తిచేను కూలీలు విష ప్రభావానికి గురయ్యారు. వీరి పరిస్థితి విషమించడంతో గ్రాసమస్తులు సూర్యాపేట జిల్లా కేంద్ర ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించారు.

సూర్యాపేట జిల్లా మోతె మండలం నామవరం గ్రామంలో ఓ రైతుకు చెందిన పత్తి చేనులో కలుపు తీసేందుకు 8 మందికూలీలు పనులకు వెళ్లారు. మధ్యాహ్నం 3 గంటల సమయంలో కూలీలు భోజనానికి ఉపక్రమించారు. కూలీలకోసమని సదరు పత్తి రైతు పాడుపడిన కుండను శుభ్రం చేసి ఉదయం అందులో మోటారు బోరు వద్ద తాగునీళ్ళు పట్టి నిల్వచేశాడు. భోజన సమయంలో తాగునీళ్ళడిగిన కూలీలకు అదే కుండాలో నీటి ఇచ్చారు. ఈ కుండలో నీరు సేవించిన 8 మంది కూలీలకు కొద్ది సేపట్లోనే వాంతులు ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. ఇద్దరు కూలీలు సృహతప్పి పడిపోయారు. విషయం తెలుసుకున్న గ్రామస్తులు పంట చేనుకు చేరుకున్నారు. వీరి పరిస్థితి విషమిస్తుండటం తో ట్రాక్టర్ ద్వారా వారిని గ్రామంలోకి తీసుకువచ్చారు. అనంతరం 108 వాహనంలో బాధితులను సూర్యాపేట ప్రభుత్వ ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించారు. బాధితులకు ఆసుపత్రి వైద్యులు చికిత్స అందిస్తున్నారు..బైట్
