Hyderabad: A student of class 10 was brutally murdered in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana on Wednesday.
The incident took place at an area near Jadcherla police station in the district.
The victim has been identified as Harshini, who is a native of Jadcherla, studying in 10th class at the Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Harshini befriended a guy name, Naveen Reddy, on the social networking site. The duo exchanged their phone numbers and met each other twice.
Her parents filed a complaint with police after Harshini went missing on Wednesday.
On investigation, it has found that Naveen took Harshini in a car. The accused was identified via CCTV footages.
Her body was found by police at Shankarapalli of Jadcherla on Thursday. The body has been sent to a local hospital for post mortem.
The accused has been identified to be a resident of Hayathnagar. He has been nabbed by the police.
