In a heartwarming example of communal harmony, a mosque located at Dumrawan village in Bihar’s Nalanda district is being maintained by a Hindu family. The mosque, which is over a century old, according to locals stands at the centre of the village – now entirely inhabited by Hindus.Locals said that Muslim families, who once lived in Dumrawan, gradually migrated to other parts of the country in search of livelihood. After that, one Hindu family took on the responsibility of maintaining the mosque.Caretaker, Anil Paswan said, "We take care of things ourselves, whether it's lighting incense sticks or lamps in the mosque. Whatever needs to be done, we do it. Our ancestors, our fathers and grandfathers, have been looking after this. My grandfather used to work for Muslims, and when all the Muslims left we started looking after it.The family is fully committed to the responsibility they have undertaken, despite coming from a very modest background. Anil Paswan's wife, Sadhna Devi said, "We have been taking care of it for at least 30-32 years."Durgesh Kumar, the son of Anil Paswan,&nbsp; said, "The mosque had been taken care of many days after the Muslims left. Now, the Hindu community is looking after the village, and the Paswan community is taking care of the mosque in the village. The rest of the Muslims have left. As long as we are alive, we will continue to look after the mosque."

At the ninth Serendipity Arts Festival being held in Panaji, Goa, Mani has featured a brief sample of her extensive work on the walls and on the tables at the Directorate of Accounts building.Two posters showing letters A and B with pictures of respective ingredients and preparations act as visual prompts for curious visitors to start asking questions, telling stories and breaking into a smiles looking at a food familiar to their region.Artist, Priya Mani said, "Everyone I have met has something to share. So invariably it’s a conversation about food. The workers who are working here in this and are helping out with the show actually, have been excited about looking at these images and they come up and tell me different things."Apart from the imagery in the corridor, Mani has set up an audio-visual project that is yet to be named. The curious project unravels visually stunning shots of different spices and food items, like wheat, black pepper, rice, and ginger.The moment an orb filled with an ingredient is placed in a receptacle, a montage of short videos starts projecting on the walls, showing the ingredient from its microscopic details to its macro photographs, the process of its cultivation and how it reaches its destination as part of preparation.The Serendipity Arts Festival, which started on December 15, will come to an end on December 22.

A 55-year-old woman who was infected by Coronavirus and returned home after recovery was not allowed to enter the home by her son and daughter-in-law. Reportedly, she was left stranded on the road at Filmnagar in Hyderabad.Hyderabad: A woman who had recovered from coronavirus was denied entry into her home, in Film Nagar here, by her own son on Friday.     According to sources, a 55-year-old woman was infected by the coronavirus and was admitted to Gandhi hospital. After recovering from the infection, she was discharged on Friday.Following which, she happily returned home but unfortunately, her son and daughter-in-law did not allow her to enter.They reportedly locked the house and left the elderly woman stranded on road.
