Do you know that:
If we sleep a lot during weekends and our sleeping pattern on weekdays continue to have a few hours, we will be still prone to serious health issues.
If an individual sleeps for less than six hours it will reduce leptin and also stimulate ghrelin in the body.
Leptin is a hormone released from the fat cells and it suppresses hunger. Ghrelin is a hormone which is released in the stomach and it signals hunger in the brain. Thus leading to an over eating habit.
This also leads to reduction in metabolic rate and increase in the fat storage.
Therefore, you should always try to sleep for at least six to eight hours a day.
