New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday refused to entertain a plea filed by Congress leader Jeevan Reddy challenging the demolition of the Telangana Secretariat.
The Telangana High Court had earlier dismissed a batch of PILs, challenging the TRS government's decision to construct the new complex after demolishing the existing structures.
The apex court bench led by Justice Ashok Bhushan today observed that the High Court had noted that it was a decision in which it could not interfere, and even the Supreme Court cannot entertain the plea under Article 136 of the Constitution.
Justice Bhushan said that the High Court had noted that there were "several deficiencies" in the buildings.
