Ramoji Film City sees influx of tourists on reopening

Ramoji Film City resumed its tourism operations from today. With all the COVID-19 safety precautions in place, the large number of tourists on the first day experienced an enjoyable and safe trip.

Hyderabad (Telangana): Famed as the world's largest film city, the Ramoji Fim City (RFC) in Hyderabad on Thursday witnessed an influx of visitors as it resumed tourism operations which were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the first day of its reopening, thousands of tourists visited RFC, which is recognised by Guinness World Records as the world's largest film city.

In view of the pandemic, all hygiene and safety protocols have been put in place across the entertainment zones, assuring the spacing out of the tourists with physical distancing markers. All high-contact surfaces were also being regularly disinfected. Personnel trained with safety procedures were also present to guide the tourists.

Spread across 2,000 acres, RFC is famed for thematic attractions, make-believe locales, striking gardens, cascading fountains, and creative entertainment.

Tourists experienced a guided tour of the film city in the specially designed coaches.

Visitors were mesmerised as they experienced the grandeur of the movie sets of blockbuster movie 'Baahubali'.

Tourists also enjoyed the colourful live shows like "Spirit of Ramoji" which is about the dazzling performances of artistes showcasing our country's eclectic culture. The Wild West Stunt Show being one of the signature shows of RFC is a throw-back to the cowboy movies of the Hollywood in 60s, while the Backlight Show brilliantly uses the Backlight Theater Principles and special animation and narrates celebrated stories through the moving portrayal of talented artistes.
