Hyderabad: Ramoji Film City, one of the favourite destinations of tourists, has bagged the Telangana State Tourism Award for the year 2021 in the 'Best Civic Management of a Tourist Destination' category.
Minister for Tourism, Sports and Excise V Srinivas Goud announced the Tourism Excellence Awards in 16 categories on Saturday. The awards will be presented to the winners at a ceremony to be held at Plaza Hotel in Begumpet in the city on the occasion of World Tourism day on Monday.
Westin Hotel secured the award in the 'five-star hotel deluxe' category whereas Park Hyatt in Banjara Hills got the award in the 'five-star hotel' category. Notably, in the category of 'five-star hotels located on the outskirts of the city', Golconda Resorts won the award.
In the four-star hotel category, Dasapalla Hotel in Banjara Hills and Mrugavani Resorts won the award. In the three-star hotel category, Best Western Ashoka Hotel at Lakdi-ka-Pul bagged the award whereas Novatel and HICC have been selected as the best convention centres.
In the best green hotels category, Taramati Baradari won the first prize, Harita Hotel on the premises of Ramappa temple in Mulugu district of Telangana and Harita Lake View Resort at Alisagar in Nizamabad district won the second and third prizes respectively.
