Rooster lands in police custody in Telangana

Telangana police took into custody a rooster in connection with the death of a man during an illegal cockfight. The incident took place in Lothunur village under Jagtial district.

Jagtial (Telangana): In a rare incident, a rooster landed in the custody of the Gollapally police here in connection with the death of a person.

The incident took place in Lothunur village and the rooster is currently in Gollapally police station.

Tanugula Satish, a resident of Lothunur, organised an illegal cockfight.

When he was trying to tie a knife to the rooster's leg, the knife accidentally pierced into his private parts.

Locals rushed him to Jagtial Area hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Gollapally SI Jeevan said that the rooster was brought to the police station to make sure no harm comes to it.
