Hyderabad: Online education has become the only way for millions of school-going children in the country to ensure that they learn during the pandemic. It has both advantages and disadvantages. Hackers have been using hacking techniques into these classes and creating mayhem.
Most of these classes are beamed through internet applications for students who have access to smartphones, laptops and tablets. However, when children are attending the classes from their home, several issues about safe viewing of the classes are cropping up. Students are facing threats of cyber harassment and bullying.
Many a time hackers tap into the live feed of an application where the online classes are being held and play porn videos, play horror movie clips and even add unwanted graphics. Many complaints regarding this have been filed in police stations across major cities of the country. Some of the hackers are also getting into the school's server and locking it up and asking for a ransom to release the data.
