Hyderabad: Ahead of the impending summer, officials of the Nehru Zoological Park haveinstalled sprinklers, foggers and coolers to ensure that the zoo inmates are comfortable even as the mercury levels rise.
Speaking to the media, Nehru Zoological Park Curator N Kshitija remarked that they were taking all necessary measures to ensure that the animals are taken care of, during the summer months.
"We have installedsprinklers, foggers andair coolers to help the animals beat the heat, enabling them to be stress-free."
Elaborating further on how animals are being taken care of, she said: "Presently we are giving glucose, supplements and other solutions to the animals and we have added citrus fruits to their diet."
Furthermore, she also informed that the veterinarians are checking the animals daily to ensure that they are healthy.
