Hyderabad: Two children died of suffocation after getting stuck inside a locked car in Nizamabad area of Mujahid Nagar here on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Riyaz (10) and Mohammad (5).
After the children went missing on Tuesday afternoon, their family members lodged a complaint with the police.
Later, the car owner informed the police at night, that there were two boys lying in his car's backseat in an unconscious state.
It was found that the children had suffocated to death. Cops have inspected the site and found the deaths to be suspicious.
The bodies have been sent for autopsy. A case has been registered in this regard and police are probing the matter in all possible directions.
