A woman TSRTC employee committed suicide at her residence in Khammam owing to ongoing strike. A protest was staged by workers at Sattupalli which affected the vehicular movement.

Khammam: A woman TSRTC employee was found hanging at her residence in Khammam on Monday. According to her husband, she was depressed over the ongoing strike.

This is the fourth alleged suicide of a TSRTC employee since the strike started.

According to the sources, the employee went to her parents’ house for Diwali along with her two children.

Soon after getting a call from employees to participate in the strike, she left her children and husband at her parents’ home and went to her house in Khammam where she committed suicide.

A protest was staged by workers at Sattupalli which affected the vehicular movement.

The employees had gone on strike on October 5, demanding the merger of the RTC with the government.
