Hyderabad: Four armed Naxals, including a woman cadre, have been arrested in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district of Telangana, police said on Thursday.
Acting on specific information, the four belonging to of Janashakti (Chandra Pullareddy Bata) group were nabbed in Gundala mandal on Wednesday when they were trying to flee after seeing the police, Bhadradri-Kothagudem District Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt said.
M Sammaiah alias Kumar, state secretary of the group, along with three others, was arrested and four weapons, including one 8 mm rifle, one Bharmar gun and 90 rounds of ammunition were seized from them.

They had allegedly hatched a plan to extort money from local contractors, police said.
Sammaiah worked in Janashakti, CP Bata, New Democracy outfits from 2005 to 2019 and was allegedly involved in offences like murders, extortions among other cases.
