New Delhi:Ahead of the parliamentary elections, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MP A P Jithender Reddy joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday in the presence of party president Amit Shah.
"It was surprising to know that my name was not on the list of TRS party. A surgical strike has been conducted on me. I waited for a week for their call which never came," he said while talking to ETV Bharat.
In 2014 elections, Reddy was elected from Mahbubnagar parliamentary constituency of Telangana on a Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) ticket.
"It was BJP party members who supported me to continue good work for the public," he said.
"I am happy to have served the state and I consider myself lucky that now I have got a chance to serve the nation," he added.
He was a BJP member from 1989 to 2006. In 2006, he joined the TRS.
